We have big plans ahead and are looking for our first Technical Recruiter to join us in building our team.

The Role

You will be Encord’s first recruiter on the ground in the UK. You’ll be partnering with our Engineering & Product leadership to attract the brightest talent, helping Encord sustain the next stage of our hyper-growth. You will guide candidates through the hiring process end-to-end: from sourcing and screening to closing, and take the lead across all core technical functions, including Engineering, ML, Solutions, and Technical Support.

Ultimately, your ability to work with engineering and product leadership to think and act strategically about how to source and hire the right candidates to grow the team will play a pivotal role in growing Encord overall.

  • Manage Full Recruitment Lifecycle: Oversee the entire recruitment process, from sourcing and screening candidates to conducting interviews and facilitating the hiring process with hiring managers and teams.
  • Source Candidates: Develop and own sourcing strategies and deliver results against those strategies for searches across various technical functions.
  • Conduct Interviews: Perform initial screenings and coordinate interviews with hiring managers, ensuring a thorough and efficient evaluation process.
  • Assess Candidate Fit: Evaluate candidates’ skills, experience, and cultural fit through structured interviews and assessment techniques. Develop scoring metrics to streamline decision-making.
  • Build Talent Pipelines: Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future job openings. Build relationships for the future with passive candidates and talent.
  • Onboarding Support: Collaborate with the HR team and other departments to ensure a smooth onboarding process for new hires.

About you

  • You have 3-5 years of experience as one of: 1) at an executive search 2) on a recruiting team within a start-up or corporate environment or 3) as an external recruiter.
  • You are focused on one thing: finding top-talent. You know this involves relentless nurturing, creative outbound campaigns, and A/B testing job specs to optimize for inbound.
  • You are a self-starter and want to be a part of building a hyper growth business from the ground up.
  • You are target-driven, detail-oriented and have a strong sense of urgency; for each challenge that arises you always find a solution.
  • When you hear a role and its criteria, you can immediately think of a couple candidates who’d be a great fit for it, whether they’re actively looking or happy in their current roles.
  • You thrive and get energy from connecting others; you are often the first person top-talent reaches out to when they’re thinking about their next role.
