We’re looking for a passionate-about-people Talent Acquisition Manager to join our fast-growing MarTech start-up. You’ll drive our team’s growth in both the UK and North America and play a key role in shaping our future as a business. In this role, you’ll own and develop the playbook to hire the best talent, directly supporting our mission to make Duel one of the best places to work in the world.

It was founded by world-record-breaking adventurer and former brand ambassador Paul Archer, alongside viral games developer Naio Tsarouchis, and we exist to show there’s a better way to build businesses, to build a better future, proving that caring for people builds brand, which builds long-term and exponential profit returns.

The Duel Brand Advocacy Platform allows mid-level to enterprise brands to do just that – scaling how they manage their relationships with thousands of advocates, customers, creators and brand ambassadors. We’re proud today that brands such as Abercrombie & Fitch, Monica Vinader, Charlotte Tilbury, Mint Velvet, Neom and Tropicfeel (to name a few, but not to name some household names that are yet to go live) are doing just that.

The Duel team comprises psychologists, brand experts and community builders from companies including Amazon, Treatwell, Bain, Mimecast and Lululemon as well as young entrepreneurs, psychologists and other exceptional talents.


As our first Talent Acquisition Manager, you will play a crucial role in attracting and hiring top talent for our growing team. As the owner of Duel’s recruitment process, you’ll work closely with hiring managers and teams to ensure we bring in the best people to drive our success. Supporting the wider People Pod and the Head of People in our mission to become the best place in the world for people to work.

  • Develop Recruitment Strategies: Create and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent for senior, technical, and customer-facing roles within the MarTech industry.
  • Manage Full Recruitment Lifecycle: Oversee the entire recruitment process, from sourcing and screening candidates to conducting interviews and facilitating the hiring process with hiring managers and teams.
  • Collaborate with Hiring Managers: Work closely with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and provide guidance on job descriptions, interview processes, and candidate selection.
  • Source Candidates: Utilise various sourcing methods, including job boards, social media, networking, and headhunting, to find and attract high-quality candidates. Facilitate and manage outreach to potential candidates.
  • Conduct Interviews: Perform initial screenings and coordinate interviews with hiring managers, ensuring a thorough and efficient evaluation process.
  • Assess Candidate Fit: Evaluate candidates’ skills, experience, and cultural fit through structured interviews and assessment techniques. Develop scoring metrics to streamline decision-making.
  • Build Talent Pipelines: Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future job openings.
  • Employer Branding: Enhance the company’s employer brand by promoting a positive image and communicating the company’s values and culture to potential candidates.
  • Track & Report Recruitment Metrics: Monitor and analyse recruitment metrics to measure the effectiveness of recruitment strategies and identify areas for improvement.
  • Offer Management: Manage the offer process, including negotiating salaries and other employment terms with selected candidates.
  • Onboarding Support: Collaborate with the HR team and other departments to ensure a smooth onboarding process for new hires.

  • Sourcing Whiz: Skilled at using socials, job boards, and networking to find top-notch candidates.
  • Great Communicator: Excellent at chatting with candidates and hiring managers, both in writing and in person.
  • Interview Expert: Strong skills in interviewing to spot the best fit for our team.
  • Relationship Builder: Great at forming and maintaining strong bonds with hiring managers, offering personalised recruitment advice.
  • Organised to the Core: Can juggle multiple job openings and candidate pipelines with ease.
  • Adaptable: Able to roll with the punches and adapt to changing hiring needs and market conditions.
  • Tech Savvy: Comfortable using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and other recruitment tools.
  • Candidate Champion: Dedicated to giving candidates a positive and professional experience throughout the hiring process.
  • Stay Updated on Market Trends: Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices in talent acquisition to continuously improve the recruitment process.
  • Develop Relationships: Build and maintain relationships with external recruitment agencies, professional associations, and universities to expand the talent pool.


  • Proven experience in end-to-end recruitment, particularly in hiring for technical roles.
  • Experience in developing and implementing effective recruitment strategies.
  • Proficiency in using ATS (we use Teamtailor!) and other recruitment technologies.
  • Experience in managing multiple vacancies and candidate pipelines simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with recruitment metrics and data-driven decision-making.

  • £48,000 – £55,000 per year depending on experience
