Mission

Provide strategic and operational P&C support to the UK/IE Market Company in order to drive delivery of the business objectives. Be a member of the global P&C team and the UKIE Leadership Team and a key contributor to the continuous development of the P&C function in Almirall.

Develop and deploy, within the framework set by the P&C Corporate strategy and guidelines, the P&C strategy and programs for the business enabling commercial excellence. Work in close partnership with local and global leaders, key client groups and Corporate P&C to support the organization and our employee’s current and future growth, ensuring best performance in order to achieve the business strategy.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • As the P&C Director, translate business needs into people and organisational requirements and associated work programmes.
  • Support cultural change.
  • Identify and develop the organisational capabilities required to execute the business strategy.
  • Act as an advisor on issues related to strategy execution and change, talent acquisition, talent development, talent management, organisation development, employee engagement, diversity and inclusion, performance management, employee relations and internal communications.
  • Implement initiatives at a local/business level and support the specific communications and engagement activities.
  • Collaborate with the global P&C teams to create innovative P&C solutions.
  • Provide feedback to the global P&C Teams about P&C solutions effectiveness.
  • Support culture change in partnership with the business leadership.
  • Develop the leadership and manage the talent pipeline in the business.
  • Ensure a learning organisational culture, sponsor people development and manage the Affiliate training budget.
  • Analyze and investigate business and people related issues.
  • Support all P&C processes and services, including any required changes and ensure successful deployment in client groups.
  • Act as a coach to managers in relation to people management.
  • Ensure compliance with local legislation and regulatory requirement sand manage any employee relation issues.
  • Be a key player in the leadership team on all matters related to people.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree (Business, Psychology, law or similar).
  • Additional formal education in HR or MBA.
  • Fluency in English.

  • Stakeholder relationship management and influencing.
  • People strategy development and change management.
  • Consulting and business acumen.
  • Business planning and resource management.
  • Policy and processes implementation.
  • Negotiation and conflict resolution. Problem solving skills.
  • Member Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (MCIPD).

Experience

  • Demonstrable track record in working within a similar level P&C Management role in a commercial environment, international teams and matrix organizations.
  • Cross-country project management experience.
  • Expert in UK employment law and labor relations.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is desirable but not essential.
