About the role:
In the spirit of embracing our People team purpose of ‘mobilising capability to enable our vision’ the People Business Partner team are resetting and refocusing efforts in order to ensure we are working on the right things at the right time for the right results, executing on People function’s products and employee experience. And we are ambitious to 10x our output within Zepz.
A People Business Partner with Zepz puts the emphasis on Business; and this is an operational role. You will be supporting functional groups with input on global projects, and you will help to translate Zepz’s vision and business strategy to support our People plans, people experiences and promote Zepz as an employer of choice.
You will build strong relationships and networks across the People team, centralised functions, business leaders and Exco. You will confidently flex your style to be involved and supportive yet challenge where appropriate. As a member of Zepz’s People team you will aim high, embrace challenges, and always do what’s right; acting with integrity and building trust as you contribute to the company’s direction and long term decision making.
Reporting to the Director, People Business Partnering, you will appreciate Zepz business priorities and:
- Ensure the employee experience is the best it can be, both for the individual and for Zepz and of course, for our users and customers
- Work with your ExCo member, function, external and internal legal counsel, Finance Business Partner and TA Partner to create and maintain sustainable structures, functional OD, succession planning, and work our OKRs committedly, jealously guarding our time to do so, becoming a trusted advisor to the business, developing strong relationships at all levels
- Influence People strategy by partnering with functional exco, setting the functional People strategies
- Own headcount governance and management via a set of principles of Sustainable Structures
- Own Employee Relations
- Assist in operationalising and automating the colleague cycle and foster the best People routines within functions and within the People Business Partnering team
- Act as talent partner, helping to attract and develop the best talent ensuring we have the skills and capabilities required for now and the future
- Manage organisational design, supporting line managers with Performance, Promotions, ER and Succession for the best employee experience
- Support our line managers to deliver repeatable employee journey processes such as development, feedback performance management, ER, probation etc., enabling folk to get to answers themselves thus empowering managers to own BAU People processes.
- Contribute to the development of our People processes making them smoother, automated and more responsive, ensuring adherence to best practice and relevant legislation
- Assist with the development of policies and procedures, appropriate documentation and recommendations, including reviewing and updating company policies
- Analyse and interpret workforce metrics with a natural focus on continuous process improvement

- An HR manager role, undertaking People tasks that a line manager or colleague can do for
themselves or colleagues can self serve - A role which picks everything up that doesn’t really seem to fit elsewhere
- A role spending time dealing with personal matters for our people
- A role where we post box from one person to another
What we’re looking for from you:

And we also need:
- Global experience is a must
- Very well developed Business, People and ER experience with a broad knowledge of full cycle Business, People and ER disciplines and a sound knowledge of employment
legislation and a good business sense. CIPD qualification (or similar) and global People Business experience would be even better. - Business Partnering – proven track record of strong business partnering and collaboration with leaders.
- Experience of failing fast and scaling a business: you will have experienced high growth, evolving to meet the increasing needs of the business. Happy to roll up your sleeves and get into the detail and more than happy with ambiguity and change (in fact, you probably thrive on both).
- You will have all the smarts and you will work fast and be responsive.
- Strong communication skills: well developed advisory skills and the ability to gain credibility and exercise influence. Able to deliver clear, direct, messages and build strong relationships.
- Self-starter: high level of energy and drive, able to work independently with minimal direction.
- Solution-focused thinker: empathy, can-do attitude and mature decision-making skills.
- Team player: visible contributor, collaborating and sharing knowledge.
- Be full of ideas, utilising your past experience to breathe new life into existing processes.
