Head of People Operations | London Victoria Office | 4 days a week office based, 1 day working from home

We are looking for a Head of People Operations, based in our Global Head Office in the UK, reporting into the HR Director.

We are a forward-thinking Human Resources department that operates on a global scale. With dedicated local resources based in some of our strongest business regions, we’re committed to nurturing talent and fostering growth across borders (What Borders!). As part of our HR Leadership team, you’ll be working closely with the managers of our six HR centres of expertise:

  • Local People Partners
  • Talent Acquisition
  • Communication and Learning & Development (L&D)
  • Payroll
  • Global Business Services
  • HR Shared Services Centre


  • Lead the local implementation of Global HR projects
  • Develop, implement, and continually review and standardise the HR processes, policies to deliver continuous improvements within the HR team.
  • Collaborate with key HR stakeholders to ensure all end-to-end processes are fit for purpose and in alignment with key HR initiatives.
  • Serves as subject matter expert to management by advising on the Human Resources’ standard operating procedures, policies
  • Assess the department’s training needs and coordinate the provisions of the appropriate training programs.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of global and local policies and procedures
  • Ensure the review and update of employment contracts and agreements is done on a timely basis
  • Ensure our recordkeeping and data processing procedures comply with GDPR requirements
  • Ensure any significant issues or risks to the HR service delivery are identified and promptly resolved.
  • Provide leadership and a clear sense of direction and purpose to the Local People Partners team, and support them to deliver high quality services.
  • Optimise resources within the team and leverage capabilities to ensure the right skills matrix.
  • Ensure local payroll is delivered on a timely and accurate manner
  • Support global and local audits with accurate country data


  • Experience in leading and managing a global People Operations team to provide support across multiple countries.
  • Demonstrated experience successfully developing, implementing, and embedding HR processes across the entire employee lifecycle, as well as identifying further opportunities as part of BAU.
  • Proven record of successfully collaborating with a wide range of internal stakeholders across different HR functional areas.
  • Project management skills, including planning, execution, and implementation to support the day to day running of the HR teams.
  • Knowledge of best practices related to efficient process delivery
  • Excellent communicator with highly developed written and interpersonal skills in English
  • A second European language beneficial
  • Flexible, resourceful and highly adaptable
  • A ‘roll your sleeves-up’ and pragmatic, positive mindset is essential.
  • There’s plenty of ambiguity across the business so we need someone who excels in environments that lack structure but at the same time enjoy establishing and building clarity.
  • The business operates at an incredible pace so we need someone who thrives in this environment but who also has the confidence and capability to know when to challenge diplomatically as well as plan ahead.
  • A proven track record in a HR Operations role, ideally within a scale-up/high-growth organisation.
  • Knowledge or experience in the Financial Services sector would be useful.
  • Subject matter expert on UK Employment Regulations
  • Experience and knowledge of HR practices and Labour Law across multiple jurisdictions is essential.
